Balearic Funk/Jazz/Chill Out band The Egg are familiar faces in the UK music and festival circuit and have played across the globe with their impressive live show. The Toscodisco re-mix of their single ‘Walking Away’ was mashed up with the vocals of David Guetta’s ‘Love Don’t Let Me Go’ and reached No. 3 in the UK Singles Chart and has 10 million plays on Spotify alone! The lads aren’t known to ‘remix’ electronic music so for their take on ‘Good Summer’ they went to extra lengths and drafted additional musicians into the studio, reconstructing the original into a cinematic orchestral number. With post-production and mix down input from Grant Lucking and Grant Collins this 10 minute piece ends up with a perfect balance of raw instrumentation and ambient electronica. This combination provides the listener with a laid back chill out atmosphere that finishes off with funky horn section.
